MM Modi College Organizes FDP expert lecture on ‘Design Thinking for Innovative Teaching Practices

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Multani Mal Modi College today organized an expert lecture on the topic of ‘Design Thinking for Innovative Teaching Practices’.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Rohit Markan, Consultant in Foundation Consultation, Regional head, North India. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the speaker and said that in higher education the educationalists must upgrade and update their informational resources, knowledge production techniques and should open to innovative in their pedagogical methodologies. He said that it is important to use digital tools and platforms for modern day educational practices. Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Professor, Dept. of Chemistry formally introduced the speaker. In his lecture Dr. Rohit Markan, said that the implementation of new education policy is crucial for education system and design thinking is the need of the hour. In design thinking previous result are reviewed, reexamined and redesigned to reach at new conclusions. He said that the process of Immersion, ideation and prototyping are essential for design thinking. In this FDP lecture Registrar Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Controller of examination Dr. Ajit Kumar, Dr. Ganesh Sethi, Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Kumar and all teachers were present. The vote of thanks was presented by Vice-principal Dr. Jasvir Kaur.
ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਤਹਿਤ ‘ਡਿਜ਼ਾਇਨ ਥਿੰਕਿੰਗ ਫਾਰ ਇੰਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਪਰੈਕਟਸਜ਼’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ: 12 ਅਗਸਤ, 2023 ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਇੰਟਰਨਲ ਕੁਆਲਿਟੀ ਅਸ਼ੋਰੇਂਸ ਸੈੱਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਤਹਿਤ ‘ਡਿਜ਼ਾਇਨ ਥਿੰਕਿੰਗ ਫਾਰ ਇੰਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਪਰੈਕਟਸਜ਼’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਡਾ.ਰੋਹਿਤ ਮਰਕਾਨ, ਮੁੱਖ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ, ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੰਨਸੈਲਟੈਸੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਚ-ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਸ੍ਰੋਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਉਤਪਾਦਕ ਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਵੀਨੀਕਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਡਿਜ਼ੀਟਲ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਹੋਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਸਮੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ.ਰੋਹਿਤ ਮਰਕਾਨ ਨੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰਗਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਥਿੰਕਿੰਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਹਿਮ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿੱਥੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ, ਵਰਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਖਿਆ, ਪੜਚੋਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿਰਿਓਂ ਸਿਰਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਜਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਚੀਰਫਾੜ ਕਰਨਾ, ਨਵਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਦੀ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਪੁਨਰ-ਸਿਰਜਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਕੰਟਰੋਲਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਡਾ. ਅਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡਾ. ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਸੇਠੀ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਣ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
